About Molasky Corporate Center

At 100 City Parkway in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, stands Molasky Corporate Center, a 17-story building for offices and retail. Irwin Molasky developed it through his company, The Molasky Group, on a 0.93 ha (2.3 acres) site that the city handed over on the condition that it be used for substantial office space generating property taxes. Marnell Corrao was the general contractor. Work started in 2005, the structure reached its full height in July 2006, and the doors opened in August 2007. It cost $107 million to build, and no office tower had gone up downtown in nearly 40 years before it.

Molasky originally sought a Silver rating under LEED, a program of the U.S. Green Building Council, but the building received Gold instead. It has 79,200 m2 (852,000 sq ft) of space, including 26,500 m2 (285,000 sq ft) of office space, and it is made of glass and steel. Glass solar panels generate electricity, air vents sit in the floors rather than the ceilings, and the insulation is shredded, recycled blue jeans. Water use is 35 percent lower and electricity use 37 percent lower than in a similarly sized building without LEED certification. At night it carries a yellow crown and green accent lighting.

A six-part PBS documentary on Nevada's green buildings included footage of the building, filmed in December 2007. In May 2014 the Building Owners and Managers Association honored it with a TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) Award. It is the only building by Irwin Molasky that bears his name.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale

200 mm 25 mm 1:3,000

A fine window grid
The curved tower is covered in a fine grid of windows. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the grid crisp, and Print friendly adapts it to the print scale.
A long, banded base
The long base has many thin horizontal bands and small rooftop boxes. A larger print keeps them distinct, and Full detail keeps every one.
One piece with the ground
Molasky Corporate Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Molasky Corporate Center takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Molasky Corporate Center is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a Molasky Corporate Center STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Molasky Corporate Center grows with the print: about 20 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
