About the Lincoln Memorial
The Lincoln Memorial is a national memorial in Washington, D.C., honoring Abraham Lincoln, the 16th U.S. president. It stands at the National Mall's western end and is built as a classical temple in the neoclassical style. Henry Bacon was the architect. Daniel Chester French designed the large statue of Lincoln inside the temple in 1920, and the Piccirilli brothers carved it in marble. Jules Guérin painted the interior murals. The memorial was dedicated on May 30, 1922.
The exterior recalls a classic Greek temple, and it features Yule marble from Colorado. The structure measures 57.8 by 36.1 m (189.7 by 118.5 ft) and is 30 m (99 ft) tall. A ring of 36 fluted Doric columns, called a peristyle, surrounds the building, one per state in the Union when Lincoln died, plus two columns behind the colonnade at the entrance. The columns are 13 m (44 ft) tall, each with a base diameter of 2.3 m (7.5 ft).
Two of Lincoln's well-known speeches appear in inscriptions inside, his second inaugural address and the Gettysburg Address. The memorial has also hosted many famous speeches, among them the "I Have a Dream" speech by Martin Luther King Jr., given on August 28, 1963, at the rally that closed the March on Washington. The National Park Service administers it as part of National Mall and Memorial Parks, and its National Register of Historic Places listing dates from October 15, 1966.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 8 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 11 mm | 1:3,000 |
| 256 mm | 13 mm | 1:2,344 |

- A ring of fluted columns
- Rows of slender columns surround the building on all four sides. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps every column, which suits a larger print or a fine nozzle.
- Stepped base and flat roof
- The temple sits on a stepped base under a flat roof with a narrow band of ornament. A larger print size keeps the steps and that band readable, and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the edges crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- The Lincoln Memorial is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Lincoln Memorial takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
The Lincoln Memorial is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Lincoln Memorial STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The Lincoln Memorial grows with the print: about 8 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
