  1. Wide block with a notched roof

The building is a broad block with a long, flat roof and a notch in its outline. Print flat and slow; Full detail on a larger print keeps the facade rhythm crisp, with 0.12 mm layers.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Louis J. Lefkowitz Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Louis J. Lefkowitz Building takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Louis J. Lefkowitz Building

Louis J. Lefkowitz State Office Building stands in the Civic Center of Manhattan. The State of New York's own State Architect, William Haugaard, designed it. Among other things it houses the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. Governor Al Smith laid the cornerstone on December 18, 1928, and the building opened in October 1930 as the home of three state departments: Taxation, Finance, and Motor Vehicles.

Its first name was the New York State Office Building. In 1984 the State renamed it for Louis J. Lefkowitz, New York's longest-serving Attorney General at that time. In 2002 the building passed from the State to New York City, which started holding marriages there in 2009. To compete better with wedding destinations like Las Vegas, the City put the Manhattan Marriage Bureau in the ornate first floor lobby. On the day in 2011 when same-sex marriage became legal, 293 couples wed there.
