  1. Central dome and end pavilions

The small dome and the decorated end pavilions are the finest parts of this wide building. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, and a larger print shows them most clearly.

  2. One piece with the ground

The LuEsther T. Mertz Library is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The LuEsther T. Mertz Library takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the LuEsther T. Mertz Library

The LuEsther T. Mertz Library stands within the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, New York City. Established in 1899, it took LuEsther Mertz's name in the 1990s. The library is the largest botanical research library in the United States, and it was the first library whose collection focused entirely on botany.

Its books on botany and horticulture serve studies in fields from history and anthropology to ethnobotany, landscape and building design, and environmental policy. Its shelves carry up-to-date scholarly books and journals along with many rare, historically significant works.

Robert W. Gibson drew up the Renaissance Revival design in 1896, and the building was finished five years later. It has four stories and was first known as the Museum Building, then as the Administration Building. Its facade is gray-buff brick with buff terracotta. Outside the front entrance are the sculptural Fountain of Life and an avenue of trees, the Tulip Tree Allee. All three were contributing resources when the garden became a National Historic Landmark in 1967, and in 2009 they became New York City designated landmarks.
