6 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Small model among towers
The theater is a low building almost hidden by tall neighbors in the model. A larger print and a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height help its small details show; Full detail keeps them all.
- One piece with the ground
The Majestic Theatre, Broadway is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Majestic Theatre, Broadway takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Majestic Theatre, Broadway
Real-estate developer Irwin S. Chanin commissioned this Broadway house on West 44th Street, number 245, in Midtown Manhattan's Theater District. Herbert J. Krapp designed it in a Spanish style. It opened in 1927. Seating is 1,681 across two levels, and New York City has landmarked both the facade and the interior.
Golden brick, terracotta and stone make up the Spanish-style facade, which has two parts. The entrance is in the western part, below a terracotta pediment and fire-escape galleries; the stage house in the eastern part ends in archways. Inside, the auditorium has detailing in the Adam style, steeply raked seating on the orchestra level, a big balcony and a wide plaster dome.
Construction ran from 1926 to 1927 as one part of a theater and hotel complex that also included the John Golden and Bernard B. Jacobs theaters and the Lincoln Hotel, with Chanin developing and Krapp designing all four. Because of its size, it was always meant for major musicals. Camelot, The Wiz, Carousel, South Pacific, A Little Night Music and The Music Man premiered here. From 1988 to 2023 the show The Phantom of the Opera ran here; when it closed, it held the record for the longest run on Broadway.
