5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Low wings with rooftop details
Three low wings meet in the middle, each with a small skylight or roof panel on top. Print friendly adapts these small details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them for larger prints.
- Layered facade lines
The curved wing ends and stepped, saw-toothed edge show many fine horizontal floor lines. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them crisp, and a larger print size helps.
- One piece with the ground
Mastercard International Global Headquarters is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Mastercard International Global Headquarters takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Mastercard International Global Headquarters
This office building has the address 2000 Purchase Street; the setting is Purchase, a hamlet in New York. Corporate relocation to suburban estates was a trend in the early 1980s, when it was constructed. Some have dubbed it the "architectural jewel of Westchester". It belongs to the Purchase Centre complex, and Nestlé originally built it before IBM occupied it for several years.
The architect was I. M. Pei, whose firm is Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, and the building's architectural style has earned it awards. By 1980 Nestlé had commissioned Pei to produce a plan with a saw-toothed parallelogram in the center flanked by two wings shaped as quarter circles. The three-story structure uses travertine stone and architectural concrete. A central lobby has a full-height atrium, and smaller atria in the north and west wings hold ficus trees and an indoor stream.
In 1982 Nestlé announced the sale of the half-completed building to IBM, which used it to centralize its Westchester activities from 1985 to 1992. MasterCard bought the facility by 1994 to serve as its global headquarters and took occupancy in October 1995. On the site, a parking facility for 1,100 cars is built into a hillside, and the grounds also hold a cafeteria and a company store.
