Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Print the tower tall

A tall tower keeps its outline best at a larger print size. A 0.12–0.16 mm layer height helps the vertical detail, and printing slowly helps the narrow top.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Midtown Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Midtown Tower takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Midtown Tower

Midtown Tower is a mixed-use tower in Akasaka, part of Tokyo's Minato ward. Finished in 2007, it rises 248.1 meters (814 ft), the tallest among the six buildings of the Tokyo Midtown development. Primary construction ended in January 2007, and the tower kept the title of Tokyo's tallest building until Toranomon Hills was completed in 2014. Offices were already open in February 2007, and the official opening followed on March 31, 2007.

Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, a Chicago practice, designed it with help from Nikken Sekkei; Takenaka and Taisei handled construction. The 54 levels mix uses: the fourth floor is given over to conference rooms, the fifth houses the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub, and the sixth contains the Tokyo Midtown Medical Center. Commercial offices occupy floors 7 to 44.

Floors 45 to 53 contain the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo and its 247 rooms. The 54th level is not a visitors' observation deck; it holds building equipment and maintenance space. In the lobby hang four large works by Sam Francis, an American painter, each 8.1 meters (27 ft) high. The hotel also uses the lobby, the second floor, and the third floor.

About this model

The Midtown Tower is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
