About Mona Plummer Aquatic Center

Home to Arizona State University's Sun Devils swim team, the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center stands on ASU's Tempe, Arizona, campus. Building it cost four million dollars, and it opened in 1981. It is regarded as being among the best college aquatic facilities in the country.

Three pools make up the complex, including a competition pool of Olympic size, and there is a diving platform too. Seating accommodates 2,000 spectators. Its namesake, Mona Plummer, was a coach who won national championships; she coached at Arizona State from 1957 to 1979 and died in 1985. The Pac-10 Diving Championships came here in 1989, 1991, 1993 and 1998, and the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships in 1981, 1991 and 1999.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Long grandstands and thin masts
The grandstands have many thin rows, and a few slender poles and a diving tower rise above the flat deck. Print friendly adapts them; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print.
One piece with the ground
Mona Plummer Aquatic Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Mona Plummer Aquatic Center takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
