6 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Thin edges on a wide block
A building of this size prints as a solid block. Watch the upper edges and wall corners: layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep them crisp at the default size.
- One piece with the ground
The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
Ukraine's National Academy of Sciences is a self-governing organization funded by the state and the nation's main center for science and technology. It coordinates the country's research institutes and, along with five other academies, is Ukraine's main research-oriented organization. Departments, sections, research institutes and scientific centers make up its structure, and it answers to the Cabinet of Ministers in an annual report.
Its headquarters sits on Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv. A commission led by Volodymyr Vernadskyi drew up the bill that led to the academy's creation in 1918, during the first Ukrainian State. On November 27, 1918, at the constituent General Assembly, Vernadsky was elected president. The academy began work in late November 1918, opening with sessions of its General Assembly and departments.
From 1919 until 1991, it operated as a branch of the Soviet Union's Academy of Sciences. Its Volodymyrska Street headquarters is classed as an architectural heritage monument, and the academy works across many scientific fields through its institutes and centers. Over its history the academy has carried five different names.
