10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Window and facade detail
The library is a large building with fine window and facade detail. Print friendly adapts the smallest of it to the print scale; Full detail keeps it as modeled.
- One piece with the ground
The National Diet Library is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The National Diet Library takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the National Diet Library
Japan's national library, the National Diet Library, is one of the world's largest libraries. It was founded in 1948 to help members of the National Diet research public policy. Its purpose and scope resemble those of the United States Library of Congress. It keeps two main facilities, one in Tokyo and one in Kyoto, plus several branch libraries around Japan.
The library descends from three separate libraries: the libraries of the House of Peers and the House of Representatives, both formed when Japan's Imperial Diet was created in 1890, and the Imperial Library, established in 1872. It opened in June 1948 in the building that became the State Guest-House, starting with 100,000 volumes. In 1949 it merged with the National Library and was then Japan's only national library, gaining a further million volumes.
In 1961 the library opened at its present site in Nagatachō, next to the National Diet. A 1986 annex was built to hold a combined 12 million books and periodicals, and the Kansai-kan opened in Kyoto Prefecture in 2002 with a collection of 6 million items. The library collects a copy of every publication issued in Japan and maintains eight major specialized collections.
