Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Broad building at scale

A large building like this keeps its roofline and wall lines cleaner at a bigger print size. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep the vertical edges sharp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The New National Theatre Tokyo is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The New National Theatre Tokyo takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the New National Theatre Tokyo

The New National Theatre, Tokyo is the first and foremost national performing arts center in Japan. Its program covers opera, ballet, contemporary dance and drama, and it stands in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo. Its architecture and modern theater facilities have drawn praise and are ranked among the best in the world.

Construction was completed in February 1997, and the first public performances followed in October 1997. The theater is connected to the Tokyo Opera City Tower, which holds an art gallery, concert halls, a media-art museum, restaurants, shops and office space. The tower and the theater together make up the Tokyo Opera City complex. The theater also runs training programs for young ballet, opera and theater artists, rents its stages to other companies, and hosts exhibitions, backstage tours and international exchanges. Its arts management is commissioned to the New National Theatre Foundation by the Japan Arts Council. It also stages performances for children and students.
