Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Colonnade and pediment

The renders show a columned front with a triangular pediment, and a ring-shaped roof feature at the center of the hexagon. Print at a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm, or larger, so the columns stay distinct.

  2. One piece with the ground

The New York County Courthouse is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The New York County Courthouse takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the New York County Courthouse

The New York County Courthouse, known too as New York State's Supreme Court Building, stands at 60 Centre Street, facing Foley Square, in Manhattan's Civic Center neighborhood. Housed inside are the state Supreme Court's Civil and Appellate Terms for its First Judicial District, an area matching Manhattan, along with the New York County Clerk's offices.

Guy Lowell of Boston designed the hexagonal, granite-faced building in a classical Roman style. Construction ran from 1913 to 1927, with World War I delaying completion. It took the place of an older county courthouse on Chambers Street, popularly called the Tweed Courthouse. City landmark designation covers both parts: the exterior since February 1, 1966, and the interior since March 24, 1981.

Its mass and scale make it look like a temple. Broad steps climb from Foley Square to a huge Corinthian colonnade that spans most of the front. Above it is a triangular pediment 43 m (140 feet) long, filled with thirteen figures carved in granite bas relief. Frederick Warren Allen made the pediment and acroteria, which include statues of Law, Truth and Equity.
