Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Two small corner domes

A small dome crowns each front corner. Print friendly adapts these small round roofs to your print scale; Full detail keeps them on larger prints.

  2. Fine, repeated facade ridges

The front has many small window frames and cornice lines. A larger print size and 0.12-0.16 mm layers help the repeated detail stay crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The O'Neill Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The O'Neill Building takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the O'Neill Building

Once a department store, the O'Neill Building is a landmark on Sixth Avenue, numbers 655-671, between West 20th Street and West 21st Street in Manhattan's Flatiron District. It started life as a dry goods store run by Hugh O'Neill, with Mortimer C. Merritt as architect, in the neo-Grec style. Its front is cast iron, and its gilded corner domes were restored around 2000.

Construction came in two stages from 1887 to 1890, up to four stories, so that the existing O'Neill store could stay open. A fifth floor followed in 1895 when the pediment was raised. After Hugh O'Neill died in 1902, his heirs could not carry on, and the business was sold in 1907 and combined with its northern neighbor, Adams Dry Goods Store, at 675 Sixth Avenue.

The merged firm failed, and by the start of World War I the department stores of the Ladies' Mile had all vanished. Later the building became manufacturing lofts, then offices again around 1969, and condominiums in 2005. It lies within the Ladies' Mile Historic District, created in 1989 by the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission.
