Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Gables, chimneys and a gate tower

The roofline is crowded with small gables and chimneys, and a gate tower stands at one end. Print friendly adapts these small shapes to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on larger prints.

  2. Rows of dormer windows

Dormers and tall windows run along the long facades. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a larger print size keep them crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

Oheka Castle is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Oheka Castle takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Oheka Castle

Oheka Castle, a hotel also called the Otto Kahn Estate, stands on Long Island's North Shore, or "Gold Coast", in West Hills, a hamlet within the town of Huntington, New York. It was the country home of Otto Hermann Kahn, a financier and philanthropist, and its name is an acronym built from the opening letters of his three names. Kahn built the mansion between 1914 and 1919. It is described as New York's largest private home and the second largest in the country. As first laid out, it had 127 rooms and more than 109,000 ft2 (10,100 m2).

Kahn's earlier country home had been nearly destroyed by a fire in 1905, so he wanted a fireproof house. His architects, Delano and Aldrich, designed it in steel and concrete, which made it among the first residential buildings built to be entirely fireproof. Two years went into making an artificial hill for it to stand on. The Olmsted Brothers designed the grounds around a formal sunken garden in the French manner, within a 443-acre (179 ha) estate that also had an 18-hole golf course by Seth Raynor, a large greenhouse complex, stables, orchards, a landing strip, an indoor swimming pool and tennis courts.

Kahn died in 1934. Eastern Military Academy bought the castle in 1948 and occupied it until 1979. After that, the empty building survived more than 100 documented arson attempts. Gary Melius, a Long Island developer, bought it in 1984 and began a large restoration. Gatsby's estate in The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, was partly inspired by it, and photographs of it stood in for the fictional Xanadu in the 1941 film Citizen Kane.
