9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall tower and thin spire
The bell tower ends in a slender spire. Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print. Printing slowly helps tall thin tips.
- Windows on long walls
Many small windows cover the long walls and wings. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Old First Church, Huntington is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Old First Church, Huntington takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Old First Church, Huntington
In Huntington, Suffolk County, New York, Old First Church is a Presbyterian church at 125 Main Street. The building dates from 1784, rises two and one-half stories, and has a steeply pitched gable roof. A tall, square bell tower of five stories stands at the center of the main facade, and around 1900 a two-story addition with five gable roofs was completed at the rear.
It is the third church called Old First to stand in that area. The earliest, dating from 1665, went up shortly after the town's founding, at a spot that was the southwest corner where NY 25A meets Spring Street. It was torn down because it had grown too small, even after being enlarged, and the second was erected in 1715 at the present location.
In 1782 British troops occupying Huntington destroyed the second church so that its materials could go into fortifications. The present church was rebuilt on the same spot in 1784, and the National Register of Historic Places listed it in 1985.
