  1. Timber detailing and shingled roof

The upper stories have applied timber detail, and the steep roof has a fine, repeating texture. Print friendly adapts these to the print scale; Full detail on a larger print keeps more of the texture.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Old Glen Cove Post Office is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Old Glen Cove Post Office takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Old Glen Cove Post Office

In Glen Cove, Nassau County, New York, stands the Old Glen Cove Post Office, a historic post office building. Stephen Voorhees, then with the firm Eidlitz & McKenzie, designed it, and it was built in 1905. It has three stories and shows Tudor Revival influence. The plan is 36 feet wide by 70 feet deep, and a rear addition followed in 1915.

Brick covers the first-floor facade, while the two upper stories use applied timbers over stucco infill, with French casement windows. A different building at 2 Glen Cove Avenue replaced the original post office in 1932. The National Register of Historic Places listed it in 2010.
