Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Bring out the facade pattern

The tower's faces carry a repeating grid of recessed panels. A larger print with 0.12–0.16 mm layers helps keep the horizontal divisions and small recesses distinct.

  2. One piece with the ground

One New York Plaza is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. One New York Plaza takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About One New York Plaza

One New York Plaza occupies a site where South Street meets Whitehall Street, near South Ferry in Manhattan's Financial District. The office tower rises 200 m (640 ft) and contains 50 floors. It is Lower Manhattan's southernmost skyscraper. The architectural firms William Lescaze & Assocs. and Kahn & Jacobs designed the building; Sol Atlas and John P. McGrath developed it. Chase Manhattan Bank became an early tenant after signing a lease shortly after groundbreaking, and Salomon Brothers moved into the tower in 1970.

Nevio Maggiora designed the facade as a boxlike pattern described as a "beehive," placing recessed windows within aluminum-clad wall elements. Those elements resemble the heat-activated elevator buttons used during the construction period. A retail concourse occupies the lower level. Chase bought the property in 1989 and renovated it in the early 1990s, improving the lobby, elevator cabs, and plaza. Hurricane Sandy flooded the building's lower levels in October 2012 and submerged the retail concourse, which required a complete interior renovation.
