About Oyo Hotel & Casino

Oyo Hotel & Casino is a hotel with a casino on Tropicana Avenue in Paradise, Nevada, east of the Las Vegas Strip. It has 696 rooms and a casino floor of 30,000 square feet (2,800 m2). The complex combines the original 10-story tower with an 18-story tower that was finished in 1991.

The property first opened on July 26, 1973, under the Howard Johnson's name. A group of local businesspeople led by Paul Oesterle developed it for $8 million, and it began with 332 rooms in a 10-story tower plus two-story bungalows. Over the following decades it changed hands and names many times, including the Hotel San Remo from 1989 to 2006 and the Hooters Casino Hotel from 2006 to 2019.

In 1989 the Japanese industrialist and hotelier Sukeaki Izumi bought it and gave it the name Hotel San Remo after a renovation that gave it an Italian Riviera ambience. A 200-seat Steak 'n Shake, the largest in the world, opened in the casino in 2018. In August 2019, Oyo Hotels & Homes and the New York-based company Highgate bought the property for $135 million, and the rebranding began on September 16, 2019, alongside a $20 million renovation.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 17 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 21 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 27 mm 1:2,344

Window grids on the tower faces
The tower faces carry a fine grid of window bands. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep them crisp, and a larger print size keeps the rows distinct.
Small rooftop structures
The roofs of the towers and wings carry many small boxes and tops. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, better for large prints or a fine nozzle.
One piece with the ground
Oyo Hotel & Casino is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Oyo Hotel & Casino takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
