22 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Slim tower with stepped setbacks
The renders show a tall, slim building with setbacks stepping in toward the roof. Print slowly at 0.12–0.16 mm layers so the stepped roofline stays sharp, and print larger to keep the narrow sides sturdy.
- One piece with the ground
The Paramount Hotel is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Paramount Hotel takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Paramount Hotel
The Paramount Hotel, once called the Century-Paramount Hotel, serves Midtown's Theater District from 46th Street, at number 235, between Eighth Avenue and Broadway. Thomas W. Lamb designed it in a Renaissance style. Lamb mostly designed theaters and cinemas, more than 300 of them, so this hotel was a rare non-theatrical project. New York City has designated the hotel a landmark.
Its H-shaped plan leaves light courts at the west and east ends, and numerous setbacks on the north and south faces each have terraces above. Brick, stone and terracotta make up the facade, and most decoration is on the south front, along 46th Street. At street level is a colonnade two stories high, and the roof is a hip roof flanked by mansard roofs. Originally the hotel had 700 rooms.
Developers Frank Locker, Samuel Resnick and Isidore Zimmer began the project in 1927, and the doors opened June 12, 1928. The hotel grew popular once Billy Rose's Diamond Horseshoe nightclub opened in its basement in 1938. Sony Hall, an event venue, occupies the basement. A 1990 renovation by Philippe Starck gave the double-height lobby its design.
About this model
The Paramount Hotel is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
