47 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Stepped crown and vertical piers
The tower steps in toward a small crown, and vertical piers run down its faces. Slice at 0.12–0.16 mm and print slowly so the crown stays crisp; Print friendly adapts the thinnest piers on a small print.
- One piece with the ground
The Paramount Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Paramount Tower takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Paramount Tower
On Times Square in Midtown Manhattan, where 43rd Street meets Broadway, stood the Paramount Theatre, a movie palace with 3,664 seats. Its gala opening night was November 19, 1926, a premiere of Herbert Brenon's film God Gave Me Twenty Cents. A showcase for films, it was also Paramount Pictures' New York headquarters. The tower around it carries the name Paramount Building and the address 1501 Broadway.
Inside, a Wurlitzer theater organ, among the largest and most admired the company ever built, was designed for the organist Jesse Crawford. Its 36 ranks of metal and wooden pipes weighed 33 tons. Louis Grell, an artist from Chicago, painted the murals in the dome, the Grand Hall and the Elizabethan Room.
When the swing era got under way, live music began to share the bill with feature films; the first band to perform live there was led by Glen Gray, in the week of Christmas 1935. In the following years it became America's leading band house. Elvis Presley's first movie, Love Me Tender, had its world premiere there, and the Beatles ended their summer 1964 US tour there with a charity concert on September 20.
About this model
The Paramount Tower is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
