About Paris Las Vegas

Paris Las Vegas is a Paris-themed casino hotel in Paradise, Nevada, on the Las Vegas Strip. The 24-acre (9.7 ha) site lies just south of the Horseshoe Las Vegas property. Work began on April 18, 1997, and it opened on September 1, 1999. Its facade carries replicas of the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, the Paris Opera House and a two-thirds-scale Arc de Triomphe, which its designers visited France to study.

Its Eiffel Tower replica is built at half scale and reaches 540 ft. The observation deck stands 460 ft (140 m) up and holds up to 96 people. Three of the four legs stand inside the casino, while the fourth stands outside along the Strip. Schuff Steel built the tower with 5,000 tons of steel; the structure is welded, yet it includes faux rivets to match the original.

Joel Bergman was the architect, and he referred to Gustave Eiffel's blueprints of the tower. Keenan Hopkins Suder & Stowell Contractors Inc. produced the themed facade along the Strip. Dave Suder said the resort was never intended as a true, historical recreation of Paris, and that the details were stylized and scaled to suit the project. The main sign shows a hot-air balloon 75 feet (23 m) across. The original hotel tower has 34 stories.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 800 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Lattice tower with a spire
The Eiffel Tower replica is a thin lattice that ends in a point. Print slowly with good cooling, and use Print friendly to adapt the lattice to the print scale; Full detail suits larger prints.
Fine facade lines on the tower
The X-shaped hotel tower is covered in fine vertical lines. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep them crisp, and a larger print size keeps more of the facade detail.
One piece with the ground
Paris Las Vegas is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Paris Las Vegas takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there a Paris Las Vegas STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Paris Las Vegas grows with the print: about 34 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?
