84 m of the Park Hotel Shanghai, 25 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Stepped crown and mast
The model has a tall stepped crown with raised corner piers and a small roof mast. Print friendly adapts the thin mast and window ribs; Full detail suits a large print or fine nozzle.
- Front window channels
The street front is cut into narrow vertical window channels between projecting brick ribs. A larger print or 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers helps those ribs stay crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Park Hotel Shanghai is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Park Hotel Shanghai takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Park Hotel Shanghai
The Park Hotel occupies Nanjing West Road in Shanghai, China, and is known historically as the Shanghai Joint Savings Society Building. This Art Deco tower was completed in 1934 and stands 83.8 m tall; it remained Asia's tallest building until 1963. It contains 22 floors above street level and two more below.
Ladislav Hudec, an architect of Hungarian-Slovak background, prepared the design in March 1931, with building work finishing in December 1934. It was built as a competitor to the Cathay Hotel; the Joint Savings Society, formed in 1923 from the union of four banks, gave the building its name. The society's bank occupied the bottom two floors, and guest rooms filled the floors above.
Polished black granite from Shandong Province covers the first three floors. The American Radiator Building was a strong influence, and the hotel ranks among Hudec's well-known Shanghai works. It stayed China's tallest building until 1966 and Shanghai's until 1983, and it holds designation as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.
