Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Setbacks and a low wing

The tall slab steps back, and a lower wing sits beside it. A layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm keeps the stepped edges crisp, and a larger print keeps the window grid readable.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Pfizer Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Pfizer Building takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Pfizer Building

On 42nd Street in Manhattan's East Midtown, the Pfizer Building combines two buildings that once stood apart. Their addresses are 219 and 235 East 42nd Street, and both once housed the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. The younger of the two is the taller one.

Emery Roth & Sons designed the tower at 235 East 42nd Street, working in the International Style. Plans were filed in early 1959, and ground was broken in a ceremony on June 4, 1959; Pfizer moved in during April 1961. The tower has 33 stories and stands 409 feet (125 m) high, with setbacks stepping in at the 11th and 15th stories on the side facing 42nd Street. Its first facade was glass and aluminum.

The other building, at 219 East 42nd Street, had 10 stories, and in 1963 its original facade gave way to a green glass one. Nikos Bel-Jon made a mural, Medical Research Through the Ages, for the 235 building. It measures 36 by 11 feet and uses tin and aluminum panels to depict figures from medicine, among them Hippocrates, Alexander Fleming and Louis Pasteur.
