8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Facade lettering
The north face carries raised lettering on a narrow front. Full detail keeps the letters sharp on a larger print; Print friendly may simplify them at small sizes.
- One piece with the ground
Playwrights Horizons is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Playwrights Horizons takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Playwrights Horizons
Playwrights Horizons is an American Off-Broadway theater in New York City, run on a not-for-profit basis. Its stated purpose is to back contemporary American playwrights along with composers and lyricists, and to produce the new work they write. It was founded in 1971 and has been led by a succession of artistic directors.
Robert Moss founded the company in 1971 at the Clark Center. In 1977 it moved to 42nd Street, where it was among the first theaters to start Theater Row, by turning adult entertainment venues into Off-Broadway playhouses. The present building replaced a former burlesque house, which had been the Off-Broadway Maidman Playhouse from 1960 to 1966.
André Bishop was artistic director from 1981 to 1991, Don Scardino served until 1995, Tim Sanford held the post from 1996 to July 2020, and Adam Greenfield took over then. In 2005 the company was one of 406 arts and social service institutions in New York City sharing a $20 million Carnegie Corporation grant, made possible by a donation from Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
