5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Arched windows and entrance
The arched windows and the entrance on the front are small features. Full detail keeps them on a larger print; Print friendly simplifies them so they survive at small sizes.
- Long sloping roofs
The wide pitched roofs of the main hall and the lower wing show layer lines. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm gives smoother slopes.
- One piece with the ground
Plymouth Church, Brooklyn is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Plymouth Church, Brooklyn takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Plymouth Church, Brooklyn
Plymouth Church is a Congregational church at 57 Orange Street, in Brooklyn Heights, part of Brooklyn in New York City. It stands between Henry and Hicks Streets. Joseph C. Wells designed the building, which went up in 1849–50. A separate Church House stands at 75 Hicks Street.
Twenty-one people from New England founded the congregation in 1847. It was the third Congregationalist church in Brooklyn, which was an independent city at the time. Henry Ward Beecher served as its first pastor and rose to prominence in the abolitionist movement. People called the church a stop on the Underground Railroad, and its basement was used to conceal fugitives.
On February 26, 1860, Abraham Lincoln attended a service at the church, after accepting an invitation sent in October 1859. A plaque marks the pew where he sat. The National Register of Historic Places lists the building as a National Historic Landmark, and it lies within the Brooklyn Heights Historic District, itself a National Historic Landmark District.
