4 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Waterwheel and shingled roof
The small waterwheel on one side and the finely ridged gambrel roof are the delicate parts. Print larger or use Full detail with a thin layer height to keep them; Print friendly suits small prints.
- One piece with the ground
The Saddle Rock Grist Mill is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Saddle Rock Grist Mill takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Saddle Rock Grist Mill
A two-and-a-half-story building with a gambrel roof, the mill is in the village of Saddle Rock, part of the town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, New York. Beside it is a millpond fed by a stream, topped up by tidal water held back by the dam.
Its origins are in the 18th century, and it is the only surviving tidal grist mill on Long Island. A restoration took place in the 1950s, after which it operated as a local history museum. The National Register of Historic Places listed it in 1978.
About this model
