Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Small mosque details
At the default size the mosque is small. Print it larger, or choose Print friendly detail, so its surface details stay legible.
- One piece with the ground
The Şakirin Mosque is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Şakirin Mosque takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Şakirin Mosque
Şakirin Mosque stands by one of the entrances to Karacaahmet Cemetery, a historic site in Üsküdar, Istanbul. The Semiha Şakir Foundation built it as a memorial to İbrahim Şakir and Semiha Şakir, and it opened on May 7, 2009. The architect was Hüsrev Tayla, with interiors by Zeynep Fadıllıoğlu, Semiha Şakir's great-niece. Newspaper reports describe it as Turkey's most carbon-neutral mosque.
Construction took four years. The mosque covers 10,000 square meters, has two 35-meter minarets, and is topped by a dome of aluminum composite. Semih İrteş wrote the calligraphy inside the dome, the prayer hall's large windows on three sides were designed by Orhan Koçan, and the acrylic minbar was designed by Tayfun Erdoğmuş.
The chandelier is large and asymmetrical, with glass globes shaped like waterdrops, made by Nahide Büyükkaymakçı. Decorative motifs come from Seljuk art, and the women's section is arranged to give a clear view of the chandelier. William Pye designed the fountain in the courtyard. A parking garage sits beneath the mosque, which also has an exhibition area.
