12 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Church walls and roofline
A larger print keeps the basilica's walls and roofline crisp. If small details blur, set Landmark detail to Print friendly or use a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height.
- One piece with the ground
San Sebastiano fuori le mura is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. San Sebastiano fuori le mura takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About San Sebastiano fuori le mura
San Sebastiano fuori le mura, also called San Sebastiano ad Catacumbas, is a minor basilica in Rome, in Central Italy. The first name, ad catacumbas, points to the catacombs of St Sebastian beneath the church, while fuori le mura refers to its position outside the Aurelian Walls. That second part also separates it from San Sebastiano al Palatino, a church on the Palatine Hill.
According to the founding tradition, the catacombs served in 258, during the Valerian persecutions, as a temporary burial place for the saints Peter and Paul. Constantine I built the first basilica, the Basilica Apostolorum, in the 4th century. The remains of St Sebastian, a Roman martyr of the 3rd century, were moved here around 350, and the church was dedicated to him in the 9th century. The basilica was later destroyed and refounded under Pope Nicholas I, and it was largely rebuilt in the 17th century.
Cardinal Scipione Borghese ordered the present church in 1609 and gave the work to Flaminio Ponzio; after Ponzio died in 1613, Giovanni Vasanzio completed it. Until the Great Jubilee of 2000, the basilica ranked among Rome's Seven Pilgrim Churches, and many pilgrims still favor the traditional list. Inside, the Chapel of Relics keeps a stone said to carry the footprints of Jesus and one of the arrows that struck St Sebastian.
