About Rome
Rome is both the capital of Italy and its largest city, and it is the administrative center of the Lazio region. It sits in the central-western part of the Italian Peninsula, along the Tiber Valley. Roma Capitale, the city's special municipality, has a population of 2.7 million, which ranks third among European Union cities for population inside its limits. Vatican City, which is the world's smallest country, is independent yet lies inside the municipal limits of Rome, an arrangement with no other example. Rome is often called the "Eternal City" and the "City of Seven Hills."
Rome served in turn as capital of the Roman Kingdom, the Republic and the Empire, and from the 8th century until 1870 it was capital of the Papal States. From the Renaissance onward, nearly all popes starting with Nicholas V (1447–1455) followed an architectural and urban program that ran four hundred years, meant to make Rome the artistic and cultural center of the world. The popes spent large sums on basilicas, palaces and piazzas, and the city later became the birthplace of Baroque and Neoclassicism. MAXXI, designed by Zaha Hadid, opened in 2010 and restores a dilapidated area.

Common questions
Are these Rome landmark models free?
Yes. All 7 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Rome landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Rome landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 8 and 21 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
