5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Detail at small sizes
A compact building like this is easiest to read at a larger print size. Print friendly adapts small details at the default size; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
- Layer height for wall edges
A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps vertical walls and rooflines crisp, especially on a small model.
- One piece with the ground
The Sancaktar Hayrettin Mosque is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Sancaktar Hayrettin Mosque takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Sancaktar Hayrettin Mosque
The Sancaktar Hayrettin Mosque stands on Teberdar Sokak in the Kocamustafapaşa neighborhood of Istanbul's Fatih district, on the seventh hill's southern slope above the Sea of Marmara. It is a small building that belonged, by general belief, to the Byzantine Monastery of Gastria. The Ottomans converted it into a mosque, and it is a modest example of the Palaiologan style in Constantinople, important for historical reasons.
Traditional accounts link the site to Helena, mother of Constantine I, who is said to have left vases of aromatic herbs here in 325 and founded a nunnery, though this is considered a legend. The nunnery of Gastria is first recorded at the start of the ninth century. The 1894 Istanbul earthquake partly destroyed the mosque, which was restored between 1973 and 1976. A minaret was later added to the restored building. The interior follows a cross plan inside an irregular octagon, with windows set in blind arches and walls of alternating brick and ashlar.
