Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Long, low basilica

A long, low church gains most from size: at the default, the roof and wall details merge into the mass. Print larger than the default or use Full detail, with 0.12–0.16 mm layers.

  2. One piece with the ground

Sant'Agnese fuori le mura is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Sant'Agnese fuori le mura takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Sant'Agnese fuori le mura

Sant'Agnese fuori le mura, a minor basilica and titular church in Rome, is set on a slope that descends from the Via Nomentana. Beneath it lie the Catacombs of Saint Agnes, the site of the saint's original burial, and the catacombs remain accessible from the church. Another larger basilica with the same name rose nearby in the 4th century, and its ruins remain beside Santa Costanza. Pope Honorius I built the present church in the 7th century, and much of its original structure survives.

The floor of the church lies about two meters above the catacomb level, and the street entrances open at the level of the second-floor gallery. A long internal stair, its walls inlaid with inscriptions from other ancient buildings and from the catacombs, leads down to the church floor. The apse mosaic, on a gold ground, shows Agnes dressed as a Byzantine empress, flanked by Honorius with a model of the building and by a second pope whose identity is uncertain.

The catacombs date from the 2nd through the 5th century and run on three levels; a guided tour visits part of the highest level, from the 2nd century. Each January 21, the feast of St. Agnes, two lambs are blessed, usually by the pope after Mass, and the wool later becomes pallia, the neck-stoles sent by popes to newly elevated metropolitan archbishops. In 1489 Pope Innocent VIII gave the church to the Lateran canons, and it became a parish church in 1708.
