Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A dome above a narrow street

The dome is the church's defining shape. At a small print size its curve and the details near it lose definition, so choose a larger print and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Sant'Ambrogio e Carlo al Corso is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Sant'Ambrogio e Carlo al Corso takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Sant'Ambrogio e Carlo al Corso

The basilica of San Carlo al Corso faces the central stretch of the Via del Corso in Rome. Its apse looks across the street toward the Mausoleum of Augustus, which stands on Via di Ripetta. The church honors Ambrose and Charles Borromeo, patron saints of Milan, and is one of at least three Roman churches dedicated to Borromeo. It also serves as the national church of the Lombards.

Construction began in 1610 in honor of the canonization of Charles Borromeo, under Onorio Longhi and later Martino Longhi the Younger. The site had held San Nicola de Tofo, an earlier church. The plan follows a Latin cross, and the dome, designed by Pietro da Cortona in 1668, resembles the dome of Santi Luca e Martina; he also designed the apse and much of the interior decoration. Cardinal Luigi Alessandro Omodei designed the facade and paid for the church's completion.

The interior holds a central vault frescoed with the Fall of the Rebel Angels by Giacinto Brandi, painted between 1677 and 1679, and an altarpiece of the two saints by Carlo Maratta from around 1685 to 1690. It is the only Roman church with an ambulatory that contains the heart of Charles Borromeo, donated in 1614. Outside, two giant statues of Ambrose and Charles stand beside the apse, facing the Mausoleum of Augustus.
