Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A large dome

A dome shows layer lines across its curve. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the curve smooth, and a larger print size keeps more small detail.

  2. One piece with the ground

Sant'Andrea della Valle is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Sant'Andrea della Valle takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Sant'Andrea della Valle

Sant'Andrea della Valle in Rome, Italy, is a titular church and a minor basilica, located in the rione of Sant'Eustachio. The Theatines have their general curia here. The church sits on Piazza Vidoni, where Corso Vittorio Emanuele crosses Corso Rinascimento. It is among the great preaching churches of the 17th century that Counter-Reformation orders built in the Centro Storico.

Planning began in 1582, when the duchess of Amalfi, Donna Costanza Piccolomini d'Aragona, left her palace and the neighboring church of San Sebastiano to the Theatines for a new church. Work began around 1590 to designs by Pier Paolo Olivieri and Giacomo della Porta. It resumed by 1608 under a grander plan drawn mainly by Carlo Maderno, paid for by a huge endowment of more than 150,000 gold scudi. By 1650 the interior was complete, and between 1655 and 1663 Carlo Rainaldi added the Baroque facade.

Frescoing the dome ranked among the largest commissions of its era. Giovanni Lanfranco finished his lavish dome decoration in 1627, and it served as a model for dome decoration over the following decades. For a long time this was Rome's third largest dome, behind only St Peter's Basilica and the Pantheon. The church also holds the cenotaphs of Pope Pius II and Pope Pius III, and the first act of Puccini's Tosca takes place there.
