7 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Curved details and small ornament
A church can combine curved walls, a roof and small decorative details. Print it larger, or choose Full detail with a fine nozzle, to keep them; a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps curves smooth.
- One piece with the ground
Santa Maria della Pace is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Santa Maria della Pace takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Santa Maria della Pace
Santa Maria della Pace, a Catholic church in Rome, Italy, stands not far from Piazza Navona. It stands in the rione Ponte and belongs to a conventual complex that includes the Chiostro del Bramante. It has become a national church of Rome, devoted to the people of Chile. The present building dates from 1482, when Pope Sixtus IV commissioned it on the foundations of an earlier church, Sant'Andrea de Aquarizariis.
Between 1656 and 1667, Pope Alexander VII Chigi hired Pietro da Cortona to enlarge the small Piazza della Pace before the church to make room for carriages. Several houses were demolished, and Cortona designed a new Baroque facade with a semicircular portico. Concave and convex forms at different scales hide the neighboring buildings and make the facade look broader. Oak leaves, a Chigi family emblem, appear on it.
Inside, a short nave with cruciform vaulting leads to a tribune topped by a cupola. Cortona gave the dome hexagonal coffering and ribs radiating from the lantern, an early example of combining the two. Donato Bramante built the cloister for Cardinal Oliviero Carafa between 1500 and 1504, and it was his first work in the city. Raphael began to fresco the Sibyls over the arch of the Chigi Chapel in 1514.
About this model
