10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Print size for a small church
A church of this size prints small at the default size. A larger print keeps more of the modeled detail, and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep vertical lines crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Santi Apostoli, Rome is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Santi Apostoli, Rome takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Santi Apostoli, Rome
Santi Apostoli, formally Santi Dodici Apostoli, is a Catholic parish in Rome, Italy, and serves as a titular church and minor basilica. It is a 6th-century church and the mother church of the Conventual Franciscans, whose general headquarters are in the building next door. The church was first dedicated to St. James and St. Philip, and their relics are kept there; later it was dedicated to all the Apostles.
The first church here went up under Pope Julius I in the middle of the fourth century, near Trajan's Forum. Pope Pelagius I replaced it on the present site to celebrate Narses's victory over the Ostrogoths at Taginae in 552. Pope John III dedicated the church around 570 to St. James and St. Philip, and it was later ruined by an earthquake in 1348 and abandoned.
A 15th-century portico by Baccio Pontelli stands in front of the present facade, which Giuseppe Valadier completed in 1827. Inside, a Baroque interior by Carlo Fontana was finished in 1714, with a ceiling fresco by Baciccio. The basilica holds the tomb of Pope Clement XIV by Antonio Canova, and for a short time it housed the tomb of Michelangelo before it was moved to the Basilica di Santa Croce in Florence.
