5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Church detail at print scale
A church complex has small window, wall and roof details. Print friendly detail adapts them to the print scale; a larger print helps those edges stay crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Santi Quattro Coronati is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Santi Quattro Coronati takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Santi Quattro Coronati
The basilica of Santi Quattro Coronati is an old titular and conventual minor basilica with an Augustinian convent in Rome. Its name means the Four Holy Crowned Ones, a reference to four martyrs whose names are unknown and who are known only by number. The Passion of St. Sebastian says that these four were soldiers; they refused to sacrifice to Aesculapius and were killed on the orders of Emperor Diocletian. The basilica, two courtyards, fortified Cardinal Palace and cloister stand in a green part of Rome, with the Colosseum to one side and San Giovanni in Laterano to the other.
Tradition says the first church was started by Pope Miltiades in the fourth century, on the Coelian Hill's north side. It was finished by the close of the sixth century and became prominent through its proximity to the Lateran Palace. Troops under Robert Guiscard burned it in the Norman Sack of Rome in 1084, and Pope Paschal II replaced it with a smaller basilica with two courtyards, consecrated on January 20, 1116. A Cosmatesque cloister was added in the 13th century, and Cardinal Stefano Conti turned the palace into a fortress.
The church keeps the martyrs' bodies in four ancient sarcophagi in its crypt. Its apse carries frescoes of the four patron saints painted by Giovanni da San Giovanni in 1630, and the chapel of St Sylvester holds medieval frescoes about Emperor Constantine I and Pope Silvester I. In 2002 the art historian Andreina Draghi found 13th-century frescoes in the monastery's Gothic Hall, covering the Zodiac, the Four Seasons, the Liberal Arts and the Twelve Months.
