22 m of Santo Stefano al Monte Celio, 8 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- The round plan
A circular plan with a ring of columns keeps its shape best on a larger print; 0.12–0.16 mm layers help the curved wall stay smooth.
- The portico arches
A portico of five arches can close up at small sizes, so Print friendly adapts the openings; Full detail keeps them for a large print or fine nozzle.
- One piece with the ground
Santo Stefano al Monte Celio is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Santo Stefano al Monte Celio takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Santo Stefano al Monte Celio
Santo Stefano al Monte Celio, commonly called Santo Stefano Rotondo, is an ancient titular church and basilica on the Caelian Hill in Rome. It is Hungary's national church in the city, honoring two Stephens: Saint Stephen, the first martyr of the Christian faith, and Stephen I, Hungary's canonized first king. The Pontifical Collegium Germanicum et Hungaricum also uses it as its rectory church.
Pope Simplicius consecrated the first church sometime between 468 and 483. It was the first circular-plan church in Rome, and its design has no parallel in the Late Roman world. Pope Leo I had commissioned it, and the original building had three concentric ambulatories on 22 Ionic columns around a central circular space, with a tambour 22 m (72 ft) tall and 22 m across. The central ambulatory measured 42 m (138 ft) in diameter and the outer one 66 m (217 ft); the four side chapels formed a Greek cross.
Innocent II's restoration of 1139–1143 dropped the outer ambulatory along with three of the four side chapels and added transverse arches to support the dome. A 12th-century portico of five arches on tall granite columns marks the entrance. Inside, frescoes by Niccolò Circignani and Antonio Tempesta include 34 scenes of martyrdom, painted for Gregory XIII in the 16th century. A 2nd-century mithraeum lies beneath the church.
