Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Lettering on the corner tower

The raised SEARS ROEBUCK lettering on the tower is small and fine. Print friendly adapts it to your print scale; Full detail keeps it, best at a larger size with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.

  2. Window rows along the frontage

Shallow rows of window recesses run along the street fronts. A smaller layer height keeps them crisp, and a larger print size keeps more of them.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Sears Roebuck & Company Department Store, Brooklyn is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Sears Roebuck & Company Department Store, Brooklyn takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Sears Roebuck & Company Department Store, Brooklyn

In Brooklyn's Flatbush neighborhood stands the Sears Roebuck & Company Department Store, a landmarked former store. This Art Deco building has three stories and a 103-foot tower. It stands where Beverly Road meets Bedford Avenue and is L-shaped, with nine bays of windows or entrances facing Bedford and four facing Beverly. Recessed entrances shelter shoppers from the weather, while limestone piers and spandrel panels lead the eye upward.

Sears started in mail-order sales and moved into retail in 1925. In 1930 it opened its first New York City store, in Brooklyn's Crown Heights, and in March 1932 it announced a flagship at this site. Planners chose the spot for the "motoring shopper": land cost less here than in crowded downtown Brooklyn, and it was convenient to older neighborhoods in the north and newer car-owning areas in the south.

About ten homes and car barns once stood on the site. The Cheshill Realty Corporation bought 25 parcels through private negotiations in 1931 and 1932, a series of deals the Brooklyn Eagle dubbed the "Flatbush mystery". New York City designated the building a landmark in 2012.
