Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Low station, fine edges
The station is low and wide, so its roofline and walls carry the shape rather than height. Print friendly detail keeps the edges clean at a small size; Full detail suits a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
Shin-Ōkubo Station is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Shin-Ōkubo Station takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Shin-Ōkubo Station
Shin-Ōkubo Station is a railway station on the circular Yamanote Line in Shinjuku, Tokyo, run by East Japan Railway Company, or JR East. It opened on November 15, 1914, near the big local Korean ethnic neighborhood, and has only one exit. During the quieter daytime hours, trains arrive every four minutes.
Only one other station on the line, Mejiro two stops away, also has no interchange. The elevated station has a single island platform that serves two tracks. Freight tracks east of the Yamanote tracks serve the Saikyō Line and the Shōnan-Shinjuku Line, and platform edge doors went in on the Yamanote platforms in 2013.
The station is less than a kilometer north of Shinjuku Station and about five minutes on foot from the Kabukichō district; the Chūō-Sōbu Line's Ōkubo Station is about three minutes away. Okubo-dori and the side streets around it are lined with small shops, most of them stocked with Korean food and pop-culture goods, along with Korean-themed bars, nightclubs and restaurants.
