Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Spire and corner turrets

A thin spire with a ball rises from the roof, and four small turrets with rounded caps sit around it. Print friendly adapts these thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print. Printing slowly helps the tall tip.

  2. Gallery and fine facade

A railed gallery runs below the roof, and narrow slots mark the shaft. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep these small details crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Sighișoara Clock Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Sighișoara Clock Tower takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Sighișoara Clock Tower

The Clock Tower stands in Sighișoara, in Mureș County, in the Transylvania region of Romania, and is the main way into the walled upper city, facing the Tailors' Tower. It is 64 meters tall and can be seen from nearly every part of the city. Its job was to guard the main gate, and until 1656 it doubled as the town hall. Work started late in the 13th century and finished in the 14th century. It belongs to the Historic Centre of Sighişoara, UNESCO World Heritage List No 902.

After the great fire of 1676, three travelling master craftsmen rebuilt the tower between March and September 1677, for 650 florins. They were Veit Gruber, who came from Tyrol; Philip Bong, from Salzburg; and the carpenter Valentinus. The Baroque roof, with its five turrets and onion-shaped bulbs, is their work. Other towers belonged to guilds, but this one was a public asset: it held administrative offices and, on holidays, the city orchestra. From the late 19th century on, a History Museum has occupied it.

Its shape is a rectangular prism with thick walls; the base is 12 by 8.66 meters, and above it are four floors plus an observation gallery. The roof, at 34 meters, is taller than the 30-meter tower below it. Four corner turrets, each 12.5 meters high, symbolize the city's judicial autonomy, and a golden sphere 1 meter across tops the roof. The clock has two faces, each with a dial 2.3 meters across, and seven wooden day figures stand on a platform that turns each night at 12 o'clock.
