Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Arched glazed entrance

The curved entrance canopy at the base has fine ribs. Print friendly adapts thin parts to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, better at a larger size.

  2. Stepped top and window rows

The top steps back in several ledges above rows of tall, narrow windows. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps the ledges and window lines crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Skirball Center for the Performing Arts is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Skirball Center for the Performing Arts takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts

Located at 566 LaGuardia Place in Manhattan, NYU Skirball seats 850 people and belongs to New York University. It takes its name from philanthropist Jack H. Skirball. Completed in October 2003, it cost roughly $40 million to build, and the firm Kevin Roche, John Dinkeloo and Associates was its architect.

The center's live programming covers dance, theater, comedy, music and film. Artists it has presented include Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Jérôme Bel and Forced Entertainment from abroad, and local artists including Big Dance Theater, Elevator Repair Service and The Wooster Group. Netflix's improv comedy series Middleditch and Schwartz was filmed there.

NYU Skirball screens National Theatre Live broadcasts of stage productions, and speakers from politics, the arts, the sciences and academia give talks. John Kerry, Al Gore and Justin Trudeau are among past speakers. Academics and performing artists are brought together through the "Office Hours" video series and through commissioned essays called "Indefinite Articles".
