Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Shingled roofs and chimney
The building has shingled gabled roofs and a small brick chimney. Print friendly keeps these small parts printable at small sizes, and Full detail keeps all the roof texture on larger prints.
- One piece with the ground
The Smith Tavern is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Smith Tavern takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Smith Tavern
The former Smith Tavern, also called Smith's Tavern, is on Bedford Road, which is NY 22, in Armonk, a hamlet in Westchester County, New York. The red frame building dates to the late 18th century. Few like it survive where suburbs have spread so quickly. It is named for the Smith family, who held it through most of the 19th century although they did not build it.
The tavern has had many uses, most of them important to North Castle's development. In the Revolutionary War it was the local militia's headquarters, and stagecoaches running from New York City to Danbury, Connecticut, often stopped there overnight. It later housed the post office and the offices of the town clerk, belonged briefly to Yale University, and was a parsonage for a nearby church.
In 1977 the town turned it into its historical museum, and the National Register of Historic Places listed it six years later. Clapboard siding covers the building, which stands on a stone foundation and has three sections, on a lot of 2 acres (0.81 ha). The main section is two stories under a gabled roof with a single brick chimney, and ornamentation is minimal, with a simple cornice and returns.
