12 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Slender bell tower
The bell tower with its small dome and cross is the thinnest part of the model. Print friendly adapts it to your print size; Full detail keeps more of it on a larger print.
- Pointed windows and gables
The tall pointed windows and small gables are shallow detail. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them crisp, and a larger print keeps more of them.
- One piece with the ground
St. Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre
St. Agnes Cathedral, in Rockville Centre, New York, is the Roman Catholic seat of the diocese named for the town, the Diocese of Rockville Centre. The Saint Agnes Cathedral School stands on the same campus. The parish story starts in 1887, when six Catholic families met at a blacksmith shop to celebrate mass whenever a priest visited, using an anvil as the altar.
In 1894 Bishop Charles Edward McDonnell of Brooklyn erected St. Agnes Parish. A white marble stone church replaced the old school house on the property in 1905, and the parish dedicated a newer St. Agnes church in 1935. Pope Pius XII established the Diocese of Rockville Centre in 1957, and St. Agnes Church became its cathedral.
The diocese began a major renovation in 1981, and the building was finished in 1982. Mother Teresa visited in 1986 and spoke at a prayer service. A second pipe organ arrived in 2001, and a plaque added in 2006 remembers parishioners who died in the World Trade Center attack of September 11, 2001.
