7 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Roof lantern and small crosses
A small lantern with a cross rises from the center of the roof, and more crosses sit on the gables. Print friendly adapts thin tips like these to the print scale; Full detail keeps them for larger prints.
- Fine brick courses and windows
The eight-sided walls carry shallow brick courses and arched windows. A larger print and a layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm help these fine lines stay crisp.
- One piece with the ground
St. Clare's Church, Staten Island is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Clare's Church, Staten Island takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. Clare's Church, Staten Island
The Church of Saint Clare stands in Great Kills, on Staten Island in New York City. Its parish has the largest membership in New York's Roman Catholic Archdiocese. The parish became independent on January 5, 1925. Its six principal buildings date from 1921 to 1979 and include the church, a school, a converted convent, a parish center, a chapel and a rectory.
Its pastor, Charles J. Parks, founded the church on July 7, 1918, as a mission under the Church of St. Patrick in Richmondtown. The first church building opened with a dedication on October 30, 1921, and in October 1957 it was moved 300 feet (90 m) to the south, along Nelson Avenue. When the present octagonal church was completed in 1959, the older building became a chapel. The new church was built for the surging population of Great Kills, with the Verrazzano–Narrows Bridge anticipated.
St. Clare School is co-educational and covers PreK–8. It opened full time on September 14, 1936, behind the church along Lindenwood Road, and it first served Grades 1–8. New wings were added to the school building in 1959 and 1990. An eternal flame on the church property remembers 29 parishioners who died in the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center.
