Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Clock faces and round window

The two front towers carry clocks and a round window above arched doorways. Print friendly adapts these small details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them for larger prints or a fine nozzle.

  2. Tall arched windows and long roof

The side wall has a row of tall arched windows under a long pitched roof. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the window rhythm crisp, and a bigger print size helps.

  3. One piece with the ground

St. George's Episcopal Church is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. George's Episcopal Church takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About St. George's Episcopal Church

On Stuyvesant Square in Manhattan, at Rutherford Place, St. George's Episcopal Church has the address 209 East 16th Street. Charles Otto Blesch designed its exterior and Leopold Eidlitz its interior. It has been described as among the earliest and most significant examples of the Early Romanesque Revival in American church architecture. Munich's round-arch Ludwigskirche and plain German hall churches influenced the exterior. Its parish, Calvary-St. George's, has two sanctuaries, and this is one of them.

The first St. George's was a chapel that Trinity Church built on Chapel Street in Lower Manhattan in 1752. The congregation gained independence in 1811, and from 1846 to 1856 it built a new church uptown on Stuyvesant Square. Almost a decade passed before spires were completed on the towers. Fire gutted the church in 1865, and Eidlitz supervised its rebuilding over the next two years. In 1889 the spires came down from both towers.

For decades, while J.P. Morgan held the post of senior warden and carried the most influence among parishioners, the church was colloquially called "Morgan's Church". The Rev. William Stephen Rainsford became rector in 1883 and introduced social programs for the poor, including an industrial school, sewing classes and soup kitchens. The spiritual singer and composer Harry Thacker Burleigh sang in the choir for 50 years. New York City designated the church a landmark in 1967, and it became a National Historic Landmark in 1976.
