Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Twin spires

Two slim spires rise above the front corners and are the thinnest parts of the model. Print friendly adapts their tips to the print scale; a bigger print, a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and slow printing keep them crisp.

  2. Rows of arched side windows

The long side walls carry rows of tall arched windows under a steep roof. Full detail keeps them on a larger print.

  3. One piece with the ground

St. Mary Church, Grand Street is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Mary Church, Grand Street takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About St. Mary Church, Grand Street

The parish church known as St. Mary's, formally the Church of St. Mary, belongs to the Archdiocese of New York. It is at 438–440 Grand Street, in the block between Pitt and Attorney Streets, on Manhattan's Lower East Side. The parish began in 1826 to serve local Irish immigrants, and it is New York's third oldest Catholic parish.

Services first took place at a former Presbyterian church, located on Sheriff Street, before the sanctuary existed, and Rev. Hatton Walsh was named pastor. Rev. William J. Quarter was later named pastor and would go on to become the first bishop of Chicago. The cornerstone for the present building was laid in 1832, and the church was dedicated in June 1833.

The church was built in 1832–33 and designed originally in the Greek Revival style. Patrick Charles Keely, a prolific church architect, later designed a new red brick facade in the Romanesque style with twin spires. Its oldest section ranks second among the city's Catholic structures by age, behind St. Patrick's Old Cathedral, from 1815.
