9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Pointed arches and gables
Pointed-arch windows cover the front, with several gables and a small tower. Full detail keeps them on larger prints, and 0.12 mm layers help the arches stay clear.
- One piece with the ground
St. Nicholas of Myra Church is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Nicholas of Myra Church takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. Nicholas of Myra Church
This church of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese, known as ACROD, is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. It stands at 288 East 10th Street, where Avenue A meets the street, in Manhattan's East Village, across from Tompkins Square Park.
It dates from 1883, when it was put up as a memorial chapel of St. Mark's in-the-Bowery. James Renwick Jr. and W. H. Russell designed it in Gothic Revival style. Renwick's other works include St. Patrick's Cathedral and Grace Church. Rutherfurd Stuyvesant, a descendant of Dutch governor Peter Stuyvesant, donated the chapel in memory of his wife.
The building was later the Holy Trinity Slovak Lutheran Church. In 1925 the diocese rented it to use as its Church of St. Nicholas of Myra. It bought the building in 1937. Parishioners come from the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
