11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Twin towers with pinnacles
Both towers end in crenellated tops with small corner pinnacles. Print friendly adapts thin parts to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, better at a larger size and printed slowly.
- Pointed windows and tall front
Tall pointed windows run along the sides, and a large window fills the front between the towers. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps these lines crisp.
- One piece with the ground
St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, Bronx is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, Bronx takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, Bronx
Fordham Road meets University Avenue at the site of St. Nicholas of Tolentine Catholic Church, a parish of the Archdiocese of New York in the Bronx. Its substantial stone church, with two towers, has been nicknamed "The Cathedral of the Bronx." The Augustinian friars founded the parish on April 22, 1906, and the first Mass was held in a small garage standing on North Street, close to Jerome Avenue.
Construction of a permanent church with parish buildings began right away. Monsignor J. F. Mooney set the cornerstone on July 15, 1906, and Archbishop (later Cardinal) Farley dedicated the church on September 15, 1907. The Collegiate Gothic church dates from 1927 and was designed by Delaney, O'Connor & Schultz. The site at University Avenue and Fordham Road had been bought and was being prepared by 1914.
The parish school opened in 1907 under the Sisters of Charity and the Augustinian Fathers. The original school was above the church, and it took over the whole building once the 1927 church was finished. The parish also ran St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School from 1927 to 1991, famed for its basketball team at high-school level.
