8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall windows and a small bell tower
A row of narrow pointed windows runs along each side, and a small square tower with a cross sits at one end. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, better with a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height.
- One piece with the ground
St. Patrick's Old Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Patrick's Old Cathedral takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. Patrick's Old Cathedral
A Catholic parish church and basilica in Lower Manhattan's Nolita neighborhood, Old St. Patrick's once served as a cathedral for the Archdiocese of New York. Joseph-François Mangin designed it in the Gothic Revival style, and it was built from 1809 to 1815. Between Prince and Houston streets, at 260–264 Mulberry Street, it has its main entrance facing Mott Street.
Until the present St. Patrick's Cathedral opened in Midtown in 1879, Old St. Patrick's was the seat of the archdiocese. Its cornerstone was laid on June 8, 1809, and the sanctuary was dedicated on May 14, 1815. Once finished, it was the biggest church in the city. It measures 120 by 80 feet (37 m by 24 m) on the outside, with an inner vault 85 feet (26 m) high. In 1966 the church building became a New York City landmark, and the complex of the cathedral gained a National Register of Historic Places listing in 1977. Pope Benedict XVI declared it a minor basilica on March 17, 2010, Saint Patrick's Day.
