Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Dome and small lantern

The round dome has a slim lantern on top. Print friendly adapts that small tip to your print scale; Full detail keeps it, best on a larger print with a layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm.

  2. A small building in a large campus

The chapel is small beside the campus around it. A larger print size keeps its curved apses and porch details.

  3. One piece with the ground

St. Paul's Chapel, Columbia University is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Paul's Chapel, Columbia University takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About St. Paul's Chapel, Columbia University

Columbia University's Morningside Heights campus in Manhattan is home to St. Paul's Chapel, an Episcopal church built from 1903 to 1907 to designs by I. N. Phelps Stokes of Howells & Stokes. Outside it follows Northern Italian Renaissance Revival style; inside it is Byzantine. It was part of the campus master plan but was the first building there not designed by McKim, Mead & White.

Two sisters, Olivia and Caroline Phelps Stokes, gave the chapel in memory of their parents, with the requirement that I. N. Phelps Stokes, their nephew, design it. The red brick exterior has limestone trim, plus terra cotta and bronze ornament. The dome, covered in green glazed Ludowici clay roof tiles, reaches a height of 91 feet (28 m). According to some, it is the earliest self-supporting dome on an American church. Twenty-four windows circle the drum of the dome.

Inside, Guastavino tile vaulting in intricate patterns covers almost every curved surface, and John La Farge made three stained glass windows in the apse. New York City designated the chapel a Landmark on September 20, 1966. Many religious groups use it for meetings throughout the week, and it hosts a long-running concert series.
